SMAR progress report 11/07

Hi folks!
Super Massive Awesome Robot is trucking along nicely. The first pass of the prototype / vertical slice should be complete by the beginning of next week, which is bloody fantastic.

  • We now have local multiplayer – you can run, jump, dash, shoot, etc at enemies and friends alike. Its surprisingly fun even if it is a little rough around the edges.
  • There are now functioning enemy turrets that are pretty lethal, which is a good thing.
  • Frame rate is now back up in the 100 fps range. Also we have finally invested in a DX11 graphics card, so fancy effects can now be implemented (mostly GPU / Compute based particles and fancy screen based effects).
  • Controls and fancy camera stuff are also coming together!

All in all, a good push. Now just to polish the prototype into a wonderful demo!

Until next time, manly-hugs!
